George Bernard Shaw once said “There is no sincerer love than the love of food” – and how right he was! And, this is why at Green Rides we really make a point of striving to create menus that are as fresh and mouth-watering as they possibly can be.

And to quote another well known citation: “An army marches on its stomach” – attributed variously to Frederick the Great and Napoleon – but equally applicable to those of us before we take to the slopes.  As we well know – without a decent breakfast we’ll not have the energy to tackle the snow!

Whether you stay with us in La Plagne, Val d’Isère, La Rosière or Morzine, we guarantee that the food and wine prepared for you in our chalets will be sensational – with every menu created with utmost care using only the finest and freshest ingredients.  High on the list of priorities 10-years in the ski holiday business has taught us at Green Rides is that if the food is not consistently of exceptional quality, our guests will return home disgruntled – and we certainly don’t want to allow this to happen.

During the summer months, Green Rides also runs the highly successful Chalet Cookery School and culinary academy in the French Alps. The acclaimed professional chefs that teach our courses, while passing on their extensive knowledge to those aspiring to culinary greatness, will also be fine-tuning ideas to improve each chalet menu for the forthcoming season to take them to the next level.

If you or any of our other guests has a particular dietary condition, please let us know so that we can personalise the food your chalet host serves to match your needs. Although we have developed menus in place for lactose and gluten intolerance as well as delectable vegetarian options, we are happy to make other adjustments to our cuisine to match your specific requirements.

Did we also mention children? Rest assured that catering to youngsters does not have to revolve around a daily diet of sausages and chips. The meals our hosts cook for your children will be prepared with the same exacting care as for the adults – after all, they are on holiday too!
