At 1828 metres (6000 feet) La Plagne and Les Arc, together form the vast ski resort known as Paradiski. Located in the picturesque Tarentaise valley of the French Alps, the resort is also one of the best. The two centres are connected by legendary Vanoise Express that, when it opened in 2003 was the longest, quickest and biggest cable car in the world.

Conveniently, you need only one lift ticket to gain access to the entire area. With a vast amount of skiable terrain competing with so many other forms of entertainment, you’ll probably struggle to ski all there is to ski in a week!

La Plagne is just one centre of a magnificent resort that spreads into many vibrant villages, among them Belle Plagne, Plagne Soleil and La Plagne 1800, all of them falling in the long shadow of the Bellecote, one of the best known off-piste faces in Europe.

Multiple lift systems operate from the centre as well as the satellite villages that transport you towards Champagny, Bellecote, Roche De Mio and all the other high areas.

There is also plenty of tree lined skiing, on and off-piste down towards Les Coches

As a true family friendly resort, La Plagne offers a vast range of exciting activities. Wherever you go, either in the centre or within the satellite villages you’ll certainly find no shortage of appealing bars, restaurants and other forms of entertainment that will compete for your time – day or night. If you are not content to simply relax and wind down, you’ll find ample activities to excite you – on and off the slopes – from the somewhat gentile pleasures of the ice rink or leisure centre to the more adrenalin pumping pursuits of bobsleighing, sledging, night skiing and skidooing.

There is something for everyone at the Paradiski. Families, groups and solo skiers come together to enjoy the après ski bustle. At night there is the evening chairlift and bubble lifts that link some of the villages while there are plenty of late night buses to provide a safe and easy journey home.

La Plagne is the most well rounded and well balanced resort you will find in the Alps.
